Main Street Bridge northbound lanes will still be closed ahead of Jaguars game. Here are alternative routes

  • September 20, 2025

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Main Street Bridge will be closed ahead of the Jaguars game against the Houston Texans on Sunday. Here are some alternate routes to get to EverBank Stadium.

The northbound lanes of the bridge are closed so crews can make repairs after a ship hit and damaged it last month.

If you use an app like Apple Maps, directions to EverBank will show the closure and give you alternate routes.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office shared four other ways on social media.

The first option is to exit at Emerson Street and take the Hart Bridge across the river.

If you want to stay on I-95 North, you could stay on that Union on MLK Jr. Parkway.

The final option, if you’re in the San Marco area and want to avoid being on highways too long, is the Acosta Bridge to Union Street.

If you’re coming from the north, east or west, your path to the stadium remains unchanged. There could be more congestion during your drive. JSO said it’s encouraging fans to arrive four hours ahead of the 1 p.m. kickoff.

“Plan your gameday route now and leave your house earlier than you expect your route to take. The later you arrive, the more delay you’ll face,” JSO said.

When the game is over, the southbound lane is still open, so the Main Street Bridge is still an option.

If you don’t want to deal with driving all the way to the stadium, JTA offers GameDay Xpress. You can pay to park at lots and garages across the area and get a bus ride to the stadium both before and after the game.
