Week 4 of the 2025 college football season was another one with a mixed bag of results for the ACC.
Dabo Swinney and Clemson football’s nightmarish start to the season continued, as the Tigers fell 34-21 at home to ACC foe Syracuse. Clemson is 1-3 for the first time under Swinney, but the Orange at 3-1 could be a team that has a chance to be ranked this week.

On the flipside, No. 6 Miami (4-0) handled business with a dominant 26-7 win over rival Florida, one in which the defense limited the Gators to just 141 total yards of offense and seven first downs. Louisville, which picked up a 40-17 win over Bowling Green, is the other hopeful ACC team that could be ranked after a 3-0 start.
Meanwhile, Duke (2-2) knocked off previously unbeaten NC State (3-1) 45-33 while No. 9 Florida State galloped to an easy victory over Kent State, 66-10 and No. 19 Georgia Tech defeated Temple 45-24 to remain unbeaten.
