PHILADELPHIA — Good news, Eagles fans. Lane Johnson is seemingly OK.
Johnson, the Eagles’ All-Pro right tackle, suffered a neck injury in Sunday’s wild win over the Rams. Johnson exited after the game’s first series and did not return.
Fortunately, Johnson’s injury isn’t serious. Johnson suffered a “stinger” and is expected to be good to go in Week 4 against the Buccaneers, he told the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Johnson left after the Eagles’ opening touchdown drive, which ended in a tush push.
Matt Pryor filled in at right tackle and struggled mightily. Pryor was later replaced by Fred Johnson, who helped key the Eagles’ memorable come-from-behind 33-26 win.
While Fred Johnson played admirably, Eagles fans will certainly welcome Lane Johnson — the five-time All-Pro and future Hall of Fame inductee — back into the lineup.
The Eagles will face the 3-0 Buccaneers next Sunday. Philadelphia and Tampa Bay will kick off at 1 p.m. at Raymond James Stadium.
