NFL Week 3 overreactions
USA Today’s Lorenzo Reyes breaks down the biggest NFL storylines from Week 3.
Sports Seriously
A potential Super Bowl 60 preview comes your way on “Monday Night Football” in Week 3 when the Detroit Lions travel to M&T Bank Stadium to take on the Baltimore Ravens.
Through three weeks, it’s been something of an adjustment period for Dan Campbell and his new coordinators, John Morton and Kelvin Sheppard. Detroit suffered a Week 1 loss to the Green Bay Packers but bounced back in a big way against the Chicago Bears in Week 2 with a 52-21 throttling of their NFC North rival.
Detroit will face, arguably, its toughest task yet in the 2025 season when it takes on Baltimore tonight. The Ravens have looked every bit a contender in the AFC, even with their brutal Week 2 loss to Buffalo late.
It’s the beginning of a critical early-season stretch for Baltimore. With games against the Lions, Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams, the Ravens are facing several playoff hopefuls looking to test Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry and their mettle.
It all starts tonight with a matchup versus the Lions on “Monday Night Football.” USA TODAY Sports will provide live updates, highlights and more from the matchup below.

Ravens vs. Lions prediction
It’s going to be a slugfest between the Ravens and the Lions. Baltimore has put up 81 points in its first two matchups of the 2025 season, while Detroit just hung 52 on a division rival. Tonight will be the first true litmus test for the Lions’ two new coordinators and Dan Campbell against a relatively leaky defense but a high-powered offense. The Ravens, though, will defend home turf in a high-scoring affair.
Prediction: Ravens 34, Lions 30
