Guilderland, NY (WRGB) — ONLYONSIX: Stephen Baker, better known to New York Giants fans as “The Touchdown Maker,” spent his Sunday afternoon in Guilderland giving back to the Capital Region community.
The former wide receiver, who helped the Giants defeat the Buffalo Bills in Super Bowl XXV, signed autographs, posed for pictures and tossed footballs with kids during the “Tailgate to Celebrate Bobby Mac.”
The event honored Robert “Bobby Mac” McNamara, a philanthropist remembered for his energy at local fundraisers and his love of hosting large tailgates.
Baker said the celebration felt fitting and says he embraces attending events like these while using his platform to support communities.
CBS6’s Sam Israel spoke exclusively with Michael Baker to talk New York Giants as well as what it meant to attend Sunday’s Tailgate.
