It was a busy day at the Tennessee Titans‘ team facility on Tuesday, as the team made a major announcement regarding their coaching staff and announced a couple of roster moves.
Of course, the biggest news was head coach Brian Callahan relinquishing his play-calling duties to quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree. While this shouldn’t be a significant change in play design, it could lead to more production from a unit that has struggled to get off to a good start this season. It should also allow Callahan more freedom to work on some of the other aspects of the team that have been problem areas.

By now, most fans have already heard about the Titans trading starting cornerback Jarvis Brownlee Jr. to the New York Jets. The surprising move sent Brownlee and a seventh-round pick to the Jets in exchange for a sixth-round pick in the 2026 NFL draft.
Tennessee did not stop there and made a minor move on its practice squad.
The Titans worked out running back Raheem Blackshear and linebacker Cam Riley on Tuesday and decided to add Blackshear to the practice squad. Initially signed by the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted rookie free agent following the 2022 NFL draft, Blackshear has spent the past three seasons as a reserve with the Carolina Panthers.

The running back/return specialist has NFL experience and has seen action in the backfield with the Panthers, accumulating 203 rushing yards and adding 16 receptions for 138 yards. He is also experienced as a return man, averaging 8.7 yards per return on punts and 25.5 yards per return on kickoffs.
The Titans return to practice on Wednesday as they prepare for their Week 4 matchup against the Houston Texans on Sunday.
