The Green Bay Packers suffered the most shocking loss of Week 3, falling to the Cleveland Browns on a last-second field goal. After being in a prime position to win with less than a minute to go, the Browns blocked the Green Bay field goal attempt and stole the win.

Green Bay has got more to figure out as they are dealing with an injury to their star RB, Josh Jacobs. He was limited with an ankle injury in practice on Wednesday, leaving a potential problem in the Green Bay backfield.

What Happened to Josh Jacobs?

Jacobs has been dealing with an ankle problem over the last few weeks. He was limited again in practice this week. The good news for Green Bay is that it was the case for the previous week. In Week 3, he spent the entire week limited in practice, but still maintained his usual workload. This will likely be the case again in Week 4, and Jacobs will be the workhorse back for the Packers again.

With Dallas up next on the schedule, Jacobs could have a big week ahead of him. Jacobs found the endzone in the first two weeks of the season, but found it hard to produce in Week 3 against the tough Browns rush defense.

The Browns have shut down both Derrick Henry and Chase Brown, along with Jacobs as he only racked up 16 carries for 30 yards.

Jacobs was the 30th-best running back in PFSN’s RBi metric for Week 3 with a grade of 67.44 or a D+. This wasn’t a pretty performance, and his Week 3 performance fell short of the standard.

This cannot happen, as the Packers have already lost one of their key offensive weapons, Jayden Reed, for an extended period. Jacobs needs to be efficient on the ground to help balance the offense by opening up the passing game through efficient rushing.

The Packers have to regroup and take their frustrations out on the struggling Cowboys. Both the Vikings and Lions moved to 2-1, and the Bears got their first win of the year. The NFC North is shaping up to be a tight rac,e and losing the Cleveland game could prove to be costly at the end of the season.

It shouldn’t be that difficult for the Packers to figure it out against Dallas after the struggling Bears blew the doors off the Cowboys. With Jacobs likely available, and an offense hungry for revenge after a disappointing performance, the Packers have to set the tone for their season and get back in the win column if they want to compete in a tough NFC.
