The Kansas City Chiefs secured their first victory of the season on Sunday night with a 22-9 win over the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.

The Chiefs’ offense finally hit its stride in the second half after a disappointing start to the game. Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes finished Week 3 with 22 completions for 264 yards and one touchdown.

Kansas City’s defense, however, ultimately led Kansas City to its much-needed win on Sunday. Led by defensive back Chris Roland-Wallace, the Chiefs’ secondary held the Giants to just 281 yards and zero touchdowns.

The experts at Pro Football Focus took notice of Roland-Wallace’s breakout game and awarded him a grade of 91.4 against New York, the highest among his teammates.

The former USC Trojan is quickly becoming a star on defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo’s team and is set to have a great season if he can continue his excellent play.

The reigning AFC champions will look to notch their second win of the season next week when they face the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium.
