The Chiefs have lost three games in a row, dating back to the Super Bowl loss against the Philadelphia Eagles in February. That is the first time the Chiefs have lost three straight since Patrick Mahomes became the quarterback in Kansas City. While the Giants didn’t get the victory last week against the Dallas Cowboys, New York’s offense came alive after a dormant performance in its opener against the Washington Commanders. This is a much bigger caliber opponent, but the Giants have to feel like they have more momentum going into this primetime game.

The Chiefs did not get sweet revenge on their Super Bowl loss last week, losing 20-17 to the Eagles. The rematch was close the whole way, but the turning point was a pass bouncing off Travis Kelce’s hands at the goal line that turned into an interception by Andrew Mukuba. The Eagles were only up 13-10 at that point and the Chiefs looked like they were going to take the lead. Quarterback Jalen Hurts led a fourth quarter touchdown drive to go up 20-10 and the Eagles would never look back. Mahomes didn’t look much like himself, with the Philadelphia defense limiting him to just 187 yards with a touchdown and an interception. The opportunity is there against the Giants to ramp up the offense, but it will be difficult with Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice still out of the lineup.

The Giants are coming off a thrilling offensive marquee fight against the Cowboys, ultimately coming up just short in a 40-37 loss in overtime. Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey kicked a 46-yard field goal as time expired in overtime to secure the victory for Dallas. The Cowboys have now won nine games in a row against the Giants. That is the longest active streak against division opponents in the NFL, and Dak Prescott has now beaten them 14 times in a row. New York is going to have to keep up that exact same momentum on offense tonight if it is to have any shot at pulling off this upset at home.
