The Cleveland Browns are apparently looking to improve a glaring hole on their roster as we hit Week 4 of the NFL season.
To start the season already, the Browns have lost right tackle Jack Conklin over the past two weeks to an elbow injury, and have lost left tackle Dawand Jones for the season with another knee injury. He was placed on season-ending Injured Reserve this week, as the Browns then signed former Ohio State Buckeye Thayer Munford off of the New England Patriots’ practice squad.

This, however, is the second bottom-of-the-barrel player the Browns have added to their offensive tackle room to attempt to patch up the depth. This is after they also traded for KT Leveston, who was set to be cut by the Los Angeles Rams, to avoid him hitting waivers and potentially being claimed by the Tennessee Titans.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, however, the Browns are actively seeking out another offensive tackle on the trade market:
“And Cleveland — whose general manager, Andrew Berry, is never afraid to put together a deal — needs offensive tackle help because of a season-ending knee injury to left tackle Dawand Jones. The Browns are looking at options there.”
Good offensive tackles are hard to come by in the NFL. The Browns are likely experiencing that right now. Any offensive tackle, outside of paying a premium price, will likely be nothing more than a stopgap band-aid.
So we know what the main priority for the Browns will be next offseason.
