Indianapolis Colts’ right guard Matt Goncalves did not practice on Thursday.

He has now missed both practices up to this point in the week.

Goncalves was listed on the Wednesday injury report with a toe injury.

He was seen wearing a boot on Wednesday, but some good news is that he was out of the boot on Thursday, according to Joel Erickson of the Indy Star.

We are still in wait-and-see mode as far as what this might mean for Goncalves’ status on Sunday against the LA Rams, but anytime a player misses two practices, it is certainly noteworthy.

Goncalves made the transition from tackle to guard this offseason and has played extremely well to start the season, particularly in pass protection.

Over 103 pass-blocking snaps this season, Goncalves has allowed just two pressures, according to Pro Football Focus.

If the Colts are without Goncalves, Dalton Tucker is the likely next man up.

Along with Goncalves, the Colts’ offensive line has played very well as a whole this season. However, awaiting them in Week 4 is a Rams’ defensive front that ranks ninth in ESPN’s pass block win rate and seventh in run-stop rate.

In addition to Goncalves being sidelined again, so were Kenny Moore and Alec Pierce. DeForest Buckner, however, did return.
