TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Several football programs will be changing classes for the 2026 and 2027 years.
KSHSAA announced on Thursday, Sept. 25, that several football programs around the state will be changing classification, beginning in 2026.
Among the schools changing classification are Highland Park, Rock Creek, Nemaha Central, Marysville, St. Marys, Cair Paravel and Madison.
Highland Park will be moving down from 5A to 4A, while Rock Creek will jump up from 3A to 4A.
Nemaha Central will advance to 3A from 2A. Marysville will drop from 3A to 2A.
St. Marys will drop from 2A to 1A. Cair Paravel will also fall from 1A and will join 8-Player Dl. Madison will also drop down a classification moving from 8-Player Dl to 8-Player Dll.
