It’s early in the NFL season, and time for some former NFL stars to start their journey to immortality in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. On Wednesday, the complete list of 128 modern-era candidates for the Hall of Fame’s Class of 2026 was announced, and it included multiple former members of the Tennessee Titans.
Seven former players made the initial list of candidates, including quarterback Steve McNair, running back Eddie George, running back Chris Johnson, fullback Lorenzo Neal, receiver Derrick Mason, tight end Delanie Walker, defensive lineman Jurrell Casey, and kicker Gary Anderson.

The majority of the group has gone through this exercise before, but for Jurrell Casey, it will be his first year of eligibility for induction.
In total, the 128 players are divided into 77 offensive players, 42 defensive players, and nine special teams players.
This is the first step in a long process. A screening committee will cut the number of eligible players to 50 in mid-October, followed by the full Hall of Fame selection committee reducing the number to 25 semifinalists in late fall. The list will continue to be whittled down until the final vote takes place ahead of Super Bowl LX.
