How Players Get Inducted Into The Pro Football Hall of Fame
After the list of nominees is announced, the hard work begins.
First the selection committee is polled to find candidates that might have been overlooked.
Then, over the next few months, the committee’s mail balloting process whittles down the nominees to a group of semi-finalists and then finalists.
For the final step, the entire selection committee meets before the Super Bowl to vote on the finalists.
Any candidate that receives at least 80% of the vote will be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
