It’s been a difficult two seasons for Uchenna Nwosu. The Seattle Seahawks EDGE rusher entered the 2025 campaign having appeared in just 12 of a possible 34 contests across 2023 and 2024 due to recurring injury problems. Despite that, Seahawks GM John Schneider kept him on the roster this year, offering him an opportunity to recapture his previous form.
That’s precisely what Nwosu did in Thursday Night Football’s Week 4 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. Nwosu registered two sacks on Kyler Murray. With that showing, Nwosu already matched his individual 2023 and 2024 sack totals (2.0).

One of Nwosu’s sacks, he initially came unblocked off the left tackle at the line of scrimmage. Cardinals right guard Isaiah Adams reached Nwosu, but he beat him with a nifty inside counter move, avoiding the would-be block of RB Trey Benson in the process. He then immediately got Murray on the ground.
“Everybody knows my road hasn’t been easy,” an elated Nwosu told reporters during his postgame presser. “I kept my mind to the grind. I always told myself things could be worse. I kept preparing the way I usually did. I rehabbed really hard. It took effort from the entire organization to get me back on the field.”
Nwosu wrote a heartwarming story on Thursday. Seahawks fans were thrilled to see the oft-injured pass rusher return to productive form. Schneider deserves credit for how he handled Nwosu throughout a difficult process.
