The Tennessee Titans are making some final roster adjustments before taking on the Houston Texans in Week 4 action.

On Saturday, the Titans dipped into their practice squad to elevate running back Jordan Mims and linebacker Curtis Jacobs for this important AFC South battle.

Mims’ elevation was expected after the Titans placed running back Kalel Mullings on injured reserve with an ankle injury. With Tyjae Spears on track to be activated from injured reserve in the coming days, using a standard elevation on Mims is a logical step to add depth for Sunday.

This will be the first elevation for Jacobs, who was recently brought back to the practice squad on Friday. Jacobs is familiar with the Titans, having spent the preseason with the organization, and had some solid moments. He performed well enough to earn a spot on the initial 53-man roster, but was eventually released days later after the Titans made multiple waiver claims and juggled their roster.

The Titans will now turn their full attention to the task at hand as they take on the Texans on Sunday at NRG Stadium.
