Thirteen games will be taking place across Sunday’s slate, starting with a 9:30 a.m. ET matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings. The schedule concludes with Sunday Night Football as Micah Parsons and the Green Bay Packers face the Dallas Cowboys. Some of the headlining matchups in the afternoon slate include the Giants facing the Chargers in Jaxson Dart’s first start, the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Baltimore Ravens.

There are plenty of ways to get involved in the action with DraftKings Sportsbook and Daily Fantasy Sports. As you seek to maximize your DFS lineups, here is a look at a few players in line to outperform their price point to help give you an edge. This article will give my best lineup for the DFS content and the logic behind each selection.

Quarterback:

Jalen Hurts ($6,700)

Despite the 3-0 record, the Philadelphia Eagles have gotten off to a fairly ugly offensive start to the season. The playcalling has been bland and conservative, with Jalen Hurts’ passing attempts being limited. He threw for just 152 yards against the Cowboys in Week 1 and 101 against the Chiefs in the second game without throwing a touchdown through the air in either matchup. This changed last week with the Eagles falling behind 19-7 at halftime. Hurts responded by throwing for 209 passing yards and three touchdowns in the second half alone to spearhead the comeback effort. The reigning Super Bowl MVP finished with 30 fantasy points based on DraftKings scoring, which was first among quarterbacks and fourth among all players last week. The Eagles will now face a Buccaneers team that likes to air the ball out, and Hurts will need to match this standard. The two-time Pro Bowler has a high floor due to his rushing ability and should be given the chance to make plays through the air at a more regular rate. I like Hurts’ chances of being a top fantasy football producer again this week.

Other Considerations: Josh Allen ($7,700), Justin Herbert ($6,300), Matthew Stafford ($5,900), Geno Smith ($5,400)

Running Back:

Jahmyr Gibbs ($7,700)

The Detroit Lions will face the Cleveland Browns this week and look to have found their stride once again. A blowout is firmly on the table in this matchup, and this should only create more opportunities in the running game. Enter Jahmyr Gibbs, who is averaging 20.4 fantasy points per game, which ranks fifth among running backs. Through the opening three games, Gibbs has tallied 180 rushing yards, 73 receiving yards and three total touchdowns. Coming off a season in which he was tied for an NFL-best 20 scores, Gibbs is playing an even more prominent role in the Lions’ offense. He is logging 64% of the offensive snaps this season compared to the 56% he logged last year and 57% as a rookie. Count on the Lions’ star to be one of the leading fantasy scorers every week but especially in this matchup against the Browns. He has tallied over 20 fantasy points in back-to-back weeks, so expect him to extend this streak on Sunday.

TreVeyon Henderson ($5,200)

The New England Patriots’ running back room is a collective mess right now. Rhamondre Stevenson looked to have the pathway to being the lead back but lost two inopportune fumbles last week against the Steelers. This should help open the door for TreVeyon Henderson to step up after he was selected with the 38th pick in the 2025 draft. The rookie has carried the ball 19 times for 65 yards and added 73 receiving yards through the opening three weeks. Even with the limited chances, Henderson ranks 35th among running backs in fantasy production with 8.3 fantasy points per game. New England will take on the Carolina Panthers this week, who rank 25th in rushing yards allowed and 30th in net yards per pass attempt. Look for Henderson to make the most of his extended opportunities and deliver his best performance of his young career in the favorable matchup.

Other Considerations: Jonathan Taylor ($7,500), Omarion Hampton ($5,900), David Montgomery ($5,700), Quinshon Judkins ($5,500)

Wide Receivers:

Emeka Egbuka ($6,800)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are battling some injuries, with Mike Evans set to miss this week and Chris Godwin listed as questionable. This puts more responsibility on Emeka Egbuka, who has looked the part of a WR1 to start the season. Through his first three weeks, the Ohio State product has tallied 14 receptions for 181 yards and three touchdowns. Egbuka is averaging 17.fantasy points per game, which ranks 11th among all wide receivers. Philadelphia has a respectable defense, but it is still working through some issues in the secondary that could prove problematic in this matchup. Tampa Bay wants to air the ball out, and Egbuka will be the team’s best option in doing so. He has tallied at least four receptions in each game to this point, and he will have a strong chance at his best performance as a pro with Evans sidelined.

Quentin Johnston ($5,500)

The Los Angeles Chargers have been among the most impressive teams in the NFL to start this season. They are off to a 3-0 start with three divisional wins already in their pocket. Justin Herbert is seeing plenty of praise for his high level of play and is airing the ball out at a much more regular rate than was the case in his first season under Jim Harbaugh. But one of the biggest reasons for improvement has been Quentin Johnston taking a step forward this season. The 24-year-old has battled drop issues to start his NFL career, but has tallied 239 receiving yards and three touchdowns already this season. Johnston’s 18.6 fantasy points per game ranks ninth among wide receivers, and his price point has not increased to properly reflect this. Expect this dependence on the aerial attack to be the new normal for the Chargers and for Johnston to remain a key part of this. There are plenty of mouths to feed within the Los Angeles offense, but Johnston trails only Keenan Allen in targets and receptions while leading in yards tallied. The Chargers will face the 0-3 Giants, who rank 24th in opponents’ points allowed and 28th in passing yards conceded.

Khalil Shakir ($5,300)

The Buffalo Bills will face off with the New Orleans Saints this week, who rank 25th in opponents’ points allowed and 29th in passing touchdowns conceded. Buffalo has looked like a well-oiled machine to start the year and has a clear opportunity to produce its biggest blowout of the season. Khalil Shakir has pulled in 11 receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown this season. He had his best performance of the season last week with 14.5 fantasy points, which ranked 25th among wide receivers. Look for him to build off this in a more favorable matchup.

Other Considerations: A.J. Brown ($6,400), Deebo Samuel Sr. ($6,000), Xavier Worthy ($5,800), Joshua Palmer ($4,300)

Tight End:

Dalton Kincaid ($4,500)

Following this same logic, expect Dalton Kincaid to play a role in the Bills’ offensive output in this friendly matchup. Through the first three games, Kincaid has pulled in 13 receptions for 151 yards and two touchdowns. His 13.4 fantasy points per game rank fifth among tight ends so far this year. New Orleans allowed 61 receiving yards to Trey McBride in Week 1, as well as 46 yards to the 49ers’ tight ends the following week, and 35 yards to the Seahawks’ tight ends in their most recent matchup. Kincaid is a more significant part of the Bills’ offense compared to the Seahawks and 49ers’ tight ends, making this an even greater challenge for New Orleans.

Other Considerations: Travis Kelce ($4,800), Sam LaPorta ($4,400), Kyle Pitts ($3,600)

Flex:

Tony Pollard ($5,600)

The Tennessee Titans will face the Houston Texans this week, with neither team getting off to the start they hoped. Both sides will be searching for their first win this week, and Tony Pollard will play a notable role in helping the Titans achieve this. He will never be the flashiest player on the field, but Pollard has received 16+ carries and 18+ touches in all three games. The former Pro Bowler has 197 rushing yards and one touchdown on the season and is averaging 10.7 fantasy points per game. Houston allowed 114 rushing yards against the Rams in the opening game and has given up 84+ yards on the ground in both games since. Only Cam Ward has more than five rushing attempts on the Titans roster outside of the 54 that Pollard has. His ceiling is not as high as you would like, but Pollard will see consistent touches in a matchup that Tennessee has a chance to win.

Defense & Special Teams:

Atlanta Falcons ($2,700)

The Atlanta Falcons are looking to wipe the slate clean after being embarrassed 30-0 by the Carolina Panthers last week. They will host the Washington Commanders this week, with Jayden Daniels remaining sidelined due to injury. Marcus Mariota did an adequate job filling in last week, throwing for 207 yards with one touchdown through the air and one on the ground. But Mariota did cough up a fumble and has battled turnovers throughout his career. Atlanta’s defense has not been its problem, as the unit ranks 13th in points allowed, second in yards conceded, and has given up the fewest passing yards in the league. The defensive unit has eight sacks and forced five turnovers. Don’t be surprised if Mariota’s past turnover demons show face.

Other Considerations: Chargers ($3,300), Ravens ($2,700), Panthers ($2,500)
