Week 4 of the 2025 NFL season will wrap up with a Monday night doubleheader and the first matchup will feature the New York Jets visiting the Miami Dolphins at 7:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.
The Dolphins are already in desperation mode at 0-3 and enter this primetime matchup with a few extra days of rest after falling to the Bills 31-21 last Thursday night. A notable bullet point from that setback was rookie running back Ollie Gordon II getting plenty of work and we’ll see if that carries over into the Monday night showdown.

Below, we’ll go over Gordon’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 4.
Fantasy Football analysis: Dolphins RB Ollie Gordon II
Gordon took nine carries for 38 yards a first-quarter touchdown that gave Miami a brief lead in last Thursday’s loss at Buffalo. It was the first significant amount of action the rookie has gotten this season and he proved that he can be a solid RB2 option behind starter De’Von Achane. Something to note is that three of his carries came inside the 20, so he could emerge as a solid red-zone option for the ‘Phins moving forward.

Sit. I’m not quite there on considering the rookie for a start just yet, but his progression is worth monitoring. If Miami’s season goes off the rails like many expect it to, we many younger players get rotated in down the stretch and that’s where Gordon could really make his mark. He’s currently rostered in less than 35%, so it’s worth considering scooping him up off the waiver wire and stashing him for later use.
