The New Orleans Saints had a tall task in their Week 4 matchup against the Buffalo Bills. Saints starting quarterback Spencer Rattler was also hoping to avoid making history for all the wrong reasons.

Not that the Saints didn’t put up a good fight, but the results of this game went exactly like everyone expected them to go. The 31-19 loss to the Bills moved the Saints to 0-4 on the season, and Rattler moved to 0-10 as a starter in the NFL.

The former South Carolina Gamecocks quarterback joined a rare list of quarterbacks who started their career 0-10. Some names on that list may be surprising.

According to Josh Dubow of the AP, Rattler joins Deshone Kizer, Jack Trudeau, Troy Aikman, Stan Gelbaugh, Derek Carr, Zach Mettenberger, Brodie Croyle, and Warren Moon as quarterbacks who have lost their first ten starts.

Seeing Aikman and Moon on that list is very surprising. However, it makes sense if you look at the mess those two players inherited when they joined the league.

Pulling the plug on Rattler at this point wouldn’t make sense. The Saints are a dreadful team in many areas. However, a stat like this is not going to give the young quarterback the confidence he needs.
