Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson was recently mocked by two NFL expert writers to be drafted in the top five of the 2026 NFL Draft.

CBS Sports’ mocked Tyson to the Carolina Panthers with the No. 5 pick. The pick would mark the second draft in a row the Panthers select a wide receiver in the first round after taking former Arizona receiver Tetairoa McMillan with the No. 8 pick this year.

Renner said the combination of Tyson and McMillan would give the Panthers one of the top 1-2 punches at the receiver position in the NFL.

The Panthers have invested a lot in receivers lately, but it’s fairly clear Xavier Legette isn’t working out at this point. Pairing Tyson with Tetairoa McMillan would give the Panthers a 1-2 punch that could rival anyone’s in the NFL.

Along with Renner, SI.com’s Randy Gurzi mocked Tyson to be picked by the Miami Dolphins at No. 3. Gurzi said the Dolphins would likely pick Tyson if they move on from Tyreek Hill in the offseason.

Miami is about to go through a major overhaul, which will likely include moving on from Tyreek Hill. That’s why they add the top receiver in this class in Jordyn Tyson.

How Jordyn Tyson’s 2025 season looked so far?

Tyson has been one of the best receivers in college football this season as the junior has registered 39 receptions (2nd in the nation) for 483 receiving yards (5th) and seven touchdowns (tied for 1st) through five games.

Tyson is coming off a solid performance against TCU where he caught eight passes for 126 yards and two touchdowns in Sun Devils’ 27-24 win against the Horned Frogs. The win got ASU back in The Associated Press’ Top 25 poll at No. 25.
