COLLEGE STATION — It wasn’t the cleanest Texas A&M football victory, but with the Aggies improving to 4-0 Saturday, they climbed in both national polls this week.

A&M beat Auburn 16-10 in a gritty Week 5 game where the Aggies committed 13 penalties and scored just one touchdown despite gaining over 400 yards of offense. But A&M held Auburn to one of its worst offensive performances in years with just one touchdown, one field goal and nine first downs. The Aggies are among 10 SEC teams ranked after Week 5.

Texas A&M is 4-0 for the first time since 2016 and now turns its sights to a tough Mississippi State team that fell to No. 15 Tennessee  in overtime.
