Early on in the third quarter of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Week 4 matchup with the San Francisco 49ers, the team ruled out defensive end Travon Walker for the rest of the game.
Walker would exit the contest in the first half with a wrist injury.

Walker was off to a fast start this season for the Jaguars, totaling 13 pressures and two sacks, according to PFF.
Not to be overlooked either are Walker’s contributions in the run game.
Without Walker, the Jaguars leaned more heavily on Emmanuel Ogbah and Dawuane Smoot to line up opposite of Josh Hines-Allen.
A key part of the defense’s success early on this season has been the play of the defensive front as a whole, with Walker, of course, playing a key role in that.
The Jaguars entered Week 4 ranked seventh in ESPN’s pass rush win rate metric.
We will provide further updates once we learn more about Walker’s injury.
