The Atlanta Falcons had every right to feel good after Sunday’s 34-27 win over the Washington Commanders. Not only did the offense end its dry spell with a breakout game, but the team likely saved its season and playoff hopes by avoiding a dreaded 1-3 start.
Instead, the Falcons are 2-2 and right back in the mix after a roller-coaster couple of weeks. Michael Penix Jr. led the team with a career-high 313 passing yards while running back Bijan Robinson racked up 181 total yards in a thrilling Week 4 win. Atlanta’s offense was much better overall, going 6-for-12 on third down against Washington.
