2. What is the Chargers record?

The Bolts now sit at 3-1 on the season as they dropped from the ranks of unbeaten teams on Sunday.

And while the Chargers loss was disappointing, keep in mind the Bolts still reside in first place in the AFC West at the quarter pole of the 2025 season.

Kansas City is 2-2 after beating Baltimore on Sunday while Las Vegas is 1-3 after a one-point loss to Chicago in Week 4.

Denver, which is 1-2, hosts Cincinnati on Monday night.

Keep in mind that the Bolts are still 3-0 in AFC West play despite the loss to the Giants.

3. Who stood out in the loss?

Omarion Hampton and Tuli Tuipulotu each had career games on their respective sides of the ball.

Hampton, a rookie first-round pick, rushed for 128 yards and a touchdown on just 12 carries, a performance that was highlighted by a 54-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

The 22-year-old also added five catches for 37 yards to give him 165 yards from scrimmage on just 17 touches against the Giants.

“It was awesome to see him pop some runs like that,” Trey Pipkins III said. “Dude runs hard, we’re going to need that the rest of the year. Exciting to see that, for sure.”

Unsurprisingly, Hampton had the Chargers top overall Pro Football Focus grade from Week 4 at 79.7.

On the other side of the ball, Tuipulotu saw his recent hard work pay off with a career-best 4.0 sacks in Week 4.

Tuipulotu didn’t have a sack entering the game but had been one of the Chargers most consistent and dependable defensive players through the first month of the year.

But he turned that into plenty of production Sunday as he sacked Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart once in the first quarter and twice in the second quarter.

Then, when Dart briefly went out to get checked for a concussion, Tuipulotu had a strip sack on Russell Wilson that the Giants fortuitously recovered.

All in all, Tuipulotu now has 4.0 sacks on the season after his epic game, which was tied for the third-most sacks in a game in Chargers history.
