THE NFL has made a final punishment decision over a Josh Allen incident during a Buffalo Bills-Miami Dolphins bust-up.

The incident occurred during the Bills‘ 31-21 win over the Dolphins on Thursday Night Football in Week 3.

During the third quarter of the game, Allen was tackled by Miami’s Tyrel Dodson and Jordyn Brooks.

But after the whistle blew, Brooks continued to push the 2024 MVP quarterback backward before sending him down to the ground.

Brooks was given an unnecessary roughness penalty and wiped out the play.

On the next play, Buffalo running back James Cook scored a rushing touchdown.

Usually, the NFL fines players for a first late-hit offense, which can reach up to $11,592, and up to $17,389 for a second.

Luckily for Brooks, he didn’t receive any financial punishment as the league chose not to fine the player.

The NFL has only fined two players for a late hit in the first three weeks of the season.

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Connor Hayward ($6,327) and Tennessee Titans linebacker James Williams ($5,457) were both fined in Week 1.

Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon was fined for the Week 3 game; however, he was penalized $5,045 for using the helmet on a defender.

And offensive lineman Aaron Brewer was handed a $17,389 penalty for a blindside block.

How Patrick Mahomes unlocked a secret weapon to make the Chiefs dangerous again

It was thought that Allen would receive a fine.

After getting brought down by Brooks, Allen rose to his feet and seemingly made a finger gun gesture.

The NFL has cracked down heavily this season on anything that can be deemed a violent gesture.

But the league did not see Allen’s celebration in a violent manner.

Plenty of fans have argued that the 29-year-old was directing the officials towards the Dolphins’ defense or signalling a first down.

In Week 4, Allen and the Bills would remain undefeated as they beat the New Orleans Saints, 31-19.

The Dolphins will host the New York Jets on Monday Night Football.

Both teams are still looking for their first win of the season.
