Three players eligible to return from injured reserve

CB Maxwell Hairston, OL Tylan Grable and K Tyler Bass are all eligible to return from IR this week and have their 21-day practice window opened.

McDermott said he “wants them all back as soon as possible” but did not specify how close they are to returning or if the team will open their practice window this week.

“Those decisions will be made at the right time; conversations will be had. So, we’ll go forward with that in mind,” McDermott shared.

Another factor in play besides the health of each player is managing the 53-man roster. Once the Bills open a player’s practice window, they have 21 days to either activate that player to the active roster or place them on season-ending IR.

“One thing affects another,” McDermott said of the decision process. “Number one is them getting healthy enough to be back. Two is, what is the next move, the corresponding move after that.”
