The Dallas Cowboys-Green Bay Packers Week 4 matchup on Sunday was expected to be a showdown, but it delivered even more fireworks than anyone likely imagined.

After going to overtime, neither team could muster more than a field goal, and they settled for the NFL’s first tie since 2022.

For Cowboys fans, the tie made for a decent showing, especially since they were going up against their former star defensive end Micah Parsons, who’s now a member of the Packers, and doing so without star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who was out with an injury.

Most predictions had the Packers winning the game by a mile, so a tie was better than a loss for Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

Even though Lamb wasn’t able to play in the game, he was front-and-center rooting for Dallas like the team’s biggest supporter. On Monday, the NFL shared a mic’d up clip on X of Lamb watching wide receiver George Pickens make an incredible 28-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Dak Prescott.

That play was huge and gave the Cowboys a 36-34 lead as the game was winding down.

In the post on X, the NFL says the Lamb “knew well before the snap that Pickens was gonna make the play,” and it shows him going wild over his teammate’s big play. Lamb also called the touchdown before it even happened.

“Touchdown! Touchdown!” Lamb is seen saying before the play even gets underway. Then, he explodes with excitement when he sees Pickens get the touchdown.

Pickens finished the game with 134 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Prescott also had an incredible game himself. He completed 77.5% of his passes for 319 yards with three touchdown passes and no interceptions with a 124.9 passer rating.

Even if fans were relieved that it wasn’t a blowout going the wrong direction, Prescott told the press after the game that he wasn’t satisfied with a tie.

“I’m unfulfilled with this, very, yeah,” he said. “You don’t play the game for ties. I’ve told you before, I don’t care about the stats. I don’t care about the ups and downs, the ebbs and flows that you hear about.”

Prescott also added: “The end result [should be a] win. When you don’t get that, right now, it’s tough for me. In ten years, it’s the first tie I’ve been a part of. It’s hard to kind of wrap my head around, but I know I would’ve felt a lot worse if it was a loss; but I’m not satisfied, not that I would be if we won. Um yeah, it’s just, it’s a weird feeling.”
