NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Following the Tennessee Titans’ 4th-straight loss of the season, which dropped the team to 0-4, quarterback Cam Ward was open with his thoughts about the current state of affairs.
“If we’re keeping a buck right now, we (expletive),” said Ward.
“We’re 0-4. At this point we have nothing to lose. We dropped a quarter of our (expletive) games and have yet to do anything so we have to lock in. When is the last time Tennessee won? I don’t know.”
On Monday, we asked Titans coach Brian Callahan what he thought about what Ward said.
“I think what everyone learned— is learning about Cam (Ward) is that he cares a tremendous amount,” said Callahan.
“It’s really important to him. He wants to win football games. He wants to deliver winning performances for our organization, for our fans. That’s what he cares about. There’s nothing else that he has any interest in other than playing football and trying to play football at a high level and those responses for him that he wears his emotions a little bit out there and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that because at the end of the day, I know where it’s coming from and I know why he’s the way he is in those moments is because he wants nothing more than to play well and win.”
