The Tennessee Titans opened the season  with a lot of hope after selecting quarterback Cam Ward first overall in the 2025 NFL draft. Unfortunately, Ward has struggled in the first four games of his career, as evidenced by some troubling statistics.

“Cam Ward is off to one of the WORST statistical starts a rookie QB has ever seen. Among all QB’s who have played at least 4 games this season, Ward is last in almost EVERY significant statistical category.

“• 51.2% completion percentage (last) • 614 passing yards (2nd last) • 2 passing TD’s (last) • 17 sacks taken (last) • 23.0 QBR (last) • 63.9 passer rating (2nd last) • 4 losses (last),” one Twitter account noted.”

Ward’s struggles have held the team back, with Tennessee sitting at 0-4 through the first four games of the season. The frustrations associated with losing seem to be getting to everyone in the building, including head coach Brian Callahan.

“Do you think this is a resilient and relentless football team?” Titans reported Paul Kuharsky asked Callahan after the Titans’ latest loss.

“I know what you’re doing there, Paul,” Callahan responded, according to Awful Announcing. “I know what you’re doing. And I’m not gonna answer that sh*t right now.”

“I’m just gonna compose myself before I say something I’d regret,” Callahan went on. “But yes, I think this team is resilient. I think it is relentless. We haven’t played good enough football, and I think those are two very different things.”

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“As much as I dislike Kuharsky he stands out as tough in what has always been a Charmin soft Titans press corps,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“So tired of these (complaining) whiny ass thin-skinned coaches. Try that attitude in the real world and see how that works out,” someone else added.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Titans can salvage the season before its too late.
