Week four of the 2025 NFL season has now passed us by and it ended with a double header on MNF. The matchups did not disappoint, and the biggest question that came from this weekend? Should there be ties? Let’s see how the ex-Bama players around the league did this weekend.

Eagles – 31 at Bucs. – 25:

Jalen Hurts (Eagles) – A clean game from Hurts that led them to over come a defiant Bucs team. Hurts wen 15/24 for 130 and two touchdowns, adding another 62 yards on the ground off nine carries. It was an efficient game from him and the Eagles are now 4-0 after Hurts was able to beat the Bucs for the first time in his career.

DeVonta Smith (Eagles) – A quiet game from him in this one but he was able to move the chains on a big play. He caught two balls for 29 yards. This offense now goes into a matchup against the best defense in the league in the Broncos.

Browns – 10 at Lions – 34:

Jerry Jeudy (Browns) – A tough game where this offense still could not do much. Catching only three of his nine targets, it was a tough day indeed. The Browns still have yet to score more than 17 points in a matchup this season.

Jahmyr Gibbs (Lions) – One of the better run defenses in the league got ran through by Gibbs. 15 carries for 91 yards and a touchdown. The Lions were in control on the ground from the start and never looked back. Gibbs sets this offense up to do what they want when they want, and with their ability to do that against this defense, they can do it to anyone.

Jameson Williams (Lions) – A quiet game for him which came as a bit of a surprise. Only catching two balls for 40 yards. It seems he is more of a boom or bust player. This most likely has to do with the way the game shaped out more than anything.

Ravens – 20 at Chiefs – 37:

Derrick Henry (Ravens) – Playing from behind and losing Lamar Jackson hindered Henry in this game. Only getting eight carries for 42 yards, he was efficient. The way the game came out held him back in this one and he has now been held to under 50 rushing yards in three consecutive games for the first time since 2018. No fumble in this one from Henry was a positive.

Player of the Week:

Josh Jacobs (Packers) – 22 carries for 86 yards with two touchdowns and another 71 yards off 4 catches. Clearly a feature back and clearly the guy in Green Bay. You never want to see great performances end in a tie, but hey the NFL is the NFL. Jacobs looks to keep a great season going after a bye this week once they take on another poor run defense in the Bengals in week six.

That does it for the week four recap. Check Back Thursday for the week five outlook. The season is flying by, but there are still plenty of great matchups to watch this weekend.
