Millbrook High School 17-year-old senior
Sport:Â Football
Position:Â Wide receiver and return specialist
Parents:Â Amy Maynard and Randy Clark
Hometown:Â WinchesterÂ
What do you love about football?:Â I love the brotherhood that it brings. I just love being around my best friends and being able to play a sport that I love.Â
Most memorable moment in football:Â I’d say one of the best moments was freshman year. I got pulled up to varsity. We played Harrisonburg, and at the end of the game, I got to get in, and it was just a surreal moment finally getting to play varsity.
Most embarrassing moment in football:Â Probably something freshman year, I know I played defense that year and got run over. Somebody chucked me. It’s a little embarrassing to go to film the next day and get kind of laughed at a little bit because you never want to get ran over, for sure.Â
Most difficult moment in football:Â This year, switching to a different offense I’ve never played and just having to learn a bunch of new things and how to get open and how to run a route differently compared to each way the defense sets up.Â
Three people you can have dinner with, dead or alive:Â Jesus, because I’m really big on being a Christian and following the lord. LeBron James is my favorite basketball player. Rod Wave is my favorite rapper. I’d love to meet him.Â
Biggest athletic influences:Â My stepdad, Daniel Maynard, he got me into football, really.Â
Favorite teacher:Â [Millbrook High School history teacher] Mr. [Robert] Whitehead. He’s a very relatable person. He loves to talk sports, and I’m not the biggest history person, but he’s made me like history way more, especially because I have a personal connection of football and he loves to talk football.Â
Favorite athlete:Â LeBron James
Favorite team:Â Seattle SeahawksÂ
Favorite movie:Â “Friday”
Favorite TV show: “Spongebob”Â
Favorite song:Â “Dark Clouds” by Rod Wave
Favorite food:Â Chicken tenders
Worst thing you’ve eaten: I ate crickets once at Disney. That was disgusting.Â
Plans after high school: I plan to do something with trade, so home improvements or something along those lines. A lot of my family is in trade and I’ve always worked with my family and that’s just something I want to get into. There’s a little bit of interest to play football. It depends on offers and who’s looking at me, for sure.Â
