The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 5 contest against the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The team held its lone practice of the week on Tuesday evening at Levi’s Stadium, though the lighter pace made it more of a walkthrough.

Quarterback Brock Purdy did not practice as he deals with soreness linked to the toe injury that sidelined him in Weeks 2 and 3. Purdy appeared to suffer a setback during Sunday’s loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, putting his availability for Thursday night’s game in doubt.

When asked if he could play if the game were held Tuesday night, Purdy admitted, “Tonight? No, but I have two days.

Still, the quarterback remains hopeful about suiting up against Los Angeles.

“Honestly, Thursday Night football games, they come quick, so anything can happen,” Purdy said. “But I’m still hopeful that I can [play]… If I can play this game, I’m going to play. Obviously, I want to get right and get healthy and everything, but we need to win this game against the Rams.”

The 49ers were also without two wide receivers. Rookie Ricky Pearsall remains sidelined with a knee injury sustained against Jacksonville, while Jauan Jennings did not practice due to a rib injury suffered in the game—after previously battling an ankle issue.

Despite the absences, Shanahan emphasized that he has not ruled any players out for Thursday’s NFC West clash with the Rams.

Below are Tuesday’s practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Rams, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
