The Cincinnati Bengals won’t have to wait as long as the rest of the league to find out the fate of at least one of their games when the NFL announces the 2025 schedule next Wednesday.

Joe Burrow and the Bengals are one of the teams eligible to play the Miami Dolphins in Madrid, Spain in November. The NFL plans to announce that matchup next Tuesday, May 13 on “Good Morning Football” a day before the full schedule-release event.

The Bengals have been bracing for an overseas game for a while now, with the team talking candidly about it as far back as March of 2024. That was in advance of the chances they get picked for 2025 or 2027 games.

Cincinnati has the sixth-longest drought in the NFL without an international game, so a 2025 matchup that pits Burrow against Tua Tagovailoa would make sense for the stage.

As for Burrow? When rumors first started about Bengals vs. Dolphins in Madrid, he loved the idea.
