The New York Giants (1-3) will visit the New Orleans Saints (0-4) at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Sunday afternoon in a Week 5 battle.

That, of course, provides those of us here at Giants Wire the opportunity to hypothetically steal from the Saints’ roster in search of depth and/or talent upgrades for Big Blue.

The Saints are a rebuilding team with a thin roster in certain spots. They do have some talented young players, but many of those are in positions where the Giants are either deep or have their own young talent beginning to thrive.

Strong consideration was given to stealing veteran inside linebacker Demario Davis, which stems from Micah McFadden’s injury and the team’s current struggles alongside Bobby Okereke. There was also thought given to stealing safety Jonas Sanker and running back Alvin Kamara, but we opted to go in a different direction.

Following the season-ending torn ACL suffered by superstar Malik Nabers, we decided to replenish the unit by stealing wide receiver Chris Olave.

The 25-year-old Olave had back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons to start his professional career before a series of concussions sidelined him for much of 2024. He’s returned healthy this season and, with second-year quarterback Spencer Rattler throwing him the ball, has hauled in 26 receptions for 185 yards and one touchdown in four games.

While that production isn’t in line with what Olave has done as a pro, it’s more a reflection on the Saints’ struggling offense than it is on Olave as a receiver. In the Giants’ offense, his versatility would be maximized, and he would be moved around based on matchups, capable of playing Z, X, and slot.

What do you say, Giants fans? Would you steal Olave or someone else from the Saints?
