Syracuse, N.Y. — Class of 2026 wide receiver Amare’ Gough has committed to Syracuse, he announced Saturday.
Gough is listed as a four-star recruit out of Thomas Jefferson (Virginia). Syracuse assistant running backs coach Devin Redd recently completed a recruiting trip to Baltimore and DMV region, resulting in nearly 20 offers and Gough’s commitment. Syracuse gave Gough’s teammate, Class of 2027 linebacker and running back Reginald Weston, his first offer during the trip.
Syracuse hosted Gough for an April 11 weekend visit and joined Virginia, Maryland and Virginia Tech as schools checking in on Gough at the Richmond Showcase on May 1, according to 247 Sports. Nine days later, Gough turned down the three schools closest to him to join Myles White’s wide receivers’ room at Syracuse.
Gough will compete at Under Armour’s June 1 All-American camp in Baltimore.
