The Cleveland Browns made a change at quarterback today, and no, it did not impact the depth chart positioning of rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

Benching veteran Joe Flacco in favor of the third round pick Dillon Gabriel, Sanders remains the third quarterback on the depth chart. The Browns announced that Flacco would back up Gabriel this weekend as the team travels to London, England to face the Minnesota Vikings. This has sparked another outrage on social media, but the quarterback himself has created a controversy of his own.

Speaking, or lack thereof, to the media today after the decision was made to keep him as the third quarterback on the depth chart, Sanders opted to pantomime every response to the media. You can see the video below, thanks to SI Browns’ Spencer German:

Players do not have to speak to the media. Sanders could have simply declined to speak instead of commanding attention in this case. He will travel to London with the team and once again be among the inactives as the emergency third quarterback on the roster. There is still obvious work to be done by Sanders to win over the trust of the coaching staff, both on the field and in the locker room.
