Rams vs. 49ers: See who the experts pick to win Week 5 matchup

The Los Angeles Rams face a contentious divisional opponent in the San Francisco 49ers in Week 5.

The winner of the game will at least have a share of first place in the NFC West and could even take the top spot if the Seattle Seahawks also lose.

L.A. looks healthy heading into the Thursday night showdown, but San Francisco is battling a lot of injuries and will be without starting quarterback Brock Purdy as well as top pass-catchers like Ricky Pearsall, Jauan Jennings and George Kittle.

Rams head coach Sean McVay has a losing record against Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers (7-10 since 2017), but L.A. has won the past three matchups against San Francisco.

Considering their history and the current makeup of each roster, most experts are taking the Rams at home. Only one of the expert picks took the 49ers on the road.
