Former Tennessee Titans general manager Jon Robinson showed a little bit of self-awareness on social media, playing with his perception among the Titans fan base three years after his dismissal.

Posting on Instagram in honor of his wife’s birthday, Robinson wrote: “Happy 46th BDay to my best friend of 26 years, love you babe!! Annnnddd, I guess it’s still MY fault…#WeAss…if ya know ya know.”

That hashtag, of course, refers to the comments shared by Titans quarterback Cam Ward in response to his team’s 26-0 loss to the Houston Texans on Sept. 28 that dropped the squad to 0-4.

Ward’s comments drew plenty of national attention and proved to be quality meme fodder on social media for a sullen Titans fan base.

Robinson, who was the Titans’ general manager from 2016 to 2022, has been out of the league since the team fired him midway through the 2022 season. Robinson oversaw one of the more successful eras of Titans football ― they were 66-43 during his tenure, making the playoffs four times ― but his NFL draft and free agency decisions have been scrutinized in the years since.

Most notably, Robinson’s three-straight first-round draft pick whiffs on tackle Isaiah Wilson, cornerback Caleb Farley and receiver Treylon Burks — the last of which coincided with the team trading away starting receiver A.J. Brown — are considered key points in the Titans’ trajectory turning downward.

Robinson was replaced by Ran Carthon, who has since been replaced by Mike Borgonzi. Since firing Robinson, the Titans have posted a 9-34 record across parts of four seasons, including a 3-14 finish in 2024 that netted the team the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. That pick was used on Ward.

The Titans visit the Arizona Cardinals (2-2) at State Farm Stadium on Oct. 5 (3:05 p.m. CT, CBS).
