NFL Week 4 Overreactions: Micah gets revenge, Dart lights it up
USA TODAY Sports’ Lorenzo Reyes ‘overreacts’ to some of the best games from Sunday’s Week 4 slate.
Sports Seriously
The Dallas Cowboys, coming off the highest scoring tie in modern NFL history (40-40 against the Green Bay Packers) are about to play one of the most winnable games on their schedule against the winless New York Jets.
The bad news is they head into it with a 1-2-1 record, though their quarterback Dak Prescott is playing at an elite level.
Dallas could use help in their woeful secondary, and Seattle Seahawks fourth-year cornerback Rig Woolen is reportedly on the block. He made the Pro Bowl in 2022 as a rookie but is now Seattle’s third cornerback.
According to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Woolen could be available, and the Cowboys would be a prime target. He wouldn’t merit any more than a late-round draft pick. His production hasn’t been great recently, but Dallas’ secondary’s production has been awful. This could be a case of a below-average player helping a bad secondary.
CeeDee Lamb injury
Dallas’ star receiver missed the game against Green Bay with a high-angle sprain, and while he is not officially ruled out for this week’s game against the New York Jets, he is expected to miss it. He is possible for the game after that, the Week 6 matchup against the Carolina Panthers on Oct. 12.
Dallas did not place him on the injured reserve list, which would mandate a four-week absence.
