The Buffalo Bills aren’t waiting until their “Sunday Night Football” game against the New England Patriots to rile up sports fans.

Buffalo is 4-0 heading into its Week 5 showdown with New England. The reigning MVP of the league, Josh Allen, has looked great so far for the Bills. He’s completing 70.2% of his passes for 964 yards with seven touchdowns and an interception. Unsurprisingly, he’s been productive on the ground as well with 159 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

While the Bills will be favored against the Patriots, it sounds like they’ve lost a few fans in New York.

On Friday afternoon, the Bills posted a message on social media for the Toronto Blue Jays. They’ll be taking on the New York Yankees in the American League Division Series.

Even though the Bills play their home games in New York, they’re not pulling for the Yankees.

“Good luck to our friends up North,” the Bills wrote on X.

Yankees fans fire back.

It didn’t take long for the fans in the Bronx to get a hold of this social media post from the Bills. As you’d imagine, they’re not happy about it.

“Officially out of the state of New York. Zero joy from the Bills’ victories,” one fan declared.

“Can’t believe New York taxpayers have to pay $600 million for your new stadium. If you love Toronto so much, please move there and let the Canadians pay your bills,” a second fan said.

“Shouldn’t we root for teams that actually play in the great state of New York?” one person asked.

“These guys love to say how they’re the only NY team but do this,” a social media user commented.

“Cannot stress how funny it is that the ‘only real New York team’ officially supporting the Toronto Blue Jays while the Yankees are in the playoffs as well, is,” another person wrote.

The Blue Jays won the AL East this year in large part due to their dominance against the Yankees.
