After three being elevated from the practice squad for the first three games of this season, the Raiders have finally decided to make it official. They have signed WR Alex Bachman to the active roster.

Bachman saw just one target on offense with no catches. He also had one punt return and four kick returns.

For much of camp it looked like Bachman had a very good chance of making the initial 53-man roster. But that ship sailed with the last minute addition of Amari Cooper. A week later, Coop decided he didn’t want to play after all, and announced his retirement. But Bachman remained on the practice squad.

Per NFL rules, teams can only activate a player from the practice squad three times. Should they wish to bring them up again, they must sign them to the roster. So, that’s what they did. When they sent LB Brennan Jackson to injured reserve, they signed Bachman to the open roster spot.
