Abdul Carter on Jaxson Dart after Giants win over Los Angeles Chargers

Linebacker Abdul Carter talks about QB Jaxson Dart after the Giants’ first win of season on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025 over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Can the New York Giants make it two in a row?

The Giants travel to New Orleans to take on the Saints on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

Rookie Jaxson Dart won his first NFL start last Sunday, leading the Giants to a 21-18 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers in front the MetLife Stadium crowd.

They’ll take on a winless Saints team (0-4) that is coming off its latest loss, 31-19, to the Buffalo Bills.

Here are our staff predictions for Giants vs. Saints in Week 5:

Art Stapleton

The pick: Giants, 27-24

Here’s why: The Giants and Saints have played some classic games in New Orleans. Just last year at MetLife, the Giants missed a field goal that would’ve tied the score late. Two of the last three games in New Orleans were wild, a 52-49 classic between Eli Manning and Drew Brees and the Giants’ win under Joe Judge that went to overtime. Jaxson Dart will have to beat the Saints with his arm, not solely his legs, and the offense will have to adjust without Malik Nabers following his ACL injury.

Dave Rivera

The pick: Giants 23, Saints 20

Here’s why: Jaxson Dart and the Giants (and perhaps most importantly, Brian Daboll) are feeling good as they get it done for a second straight week, pulling out a victory in the Superdome.

Brian Marron

The pick: Saints 24, Giants 20

Here’s why: Although 0-4, the Saints have been a tough out against some of the NFL’s better teams in the Bills, Cardinals and 49ers. While the Giants looked better in Jaxson Dart’s first start, the offense was helped tremendously by Chargers’ mistakes that led to very short fields. At home, this seems like a spot for New Orleans to pick up its first win.

Bob Jordan

The pick: Saints 21, Giants 7

Here’s why: Patrick Mahomes went 15 for 27, 256 yards, 4 touchdowns and a 127.5 rating in his second career start; Peyton Manning’s second start yielded 21 for 33, 188 yards, 1 touchdown, 3 interceptions and a 51.5 rating. It’s hard to tell if Giants’ fans will get Patrick or Peyton.

Chris Iseman

The pick: Giants 24, Saints 17

Here’s why: The Giants looked like they have new life with Jaxson Dart. I think they’ll keep the momentum going against New Orleans.
