Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones spoke with reporters before practice on Friday, sharing his thoughts on the Jacksonville Jaguars’ offense.
“They’re battle-tested. Watching throughout the course of the few games they’ve played, they’ve been battle tested,” said Jones, “The Houston Texans game, it was a battle, especially in the fourth quarter. It was a back-and-forth battle, and their defense has been playing lights out. (Jaguars QB) Trevor Lawrence has made a lot of progression throughout the years. He’s made a lot of big throws when the team needed him. They have a very great cohesive group that’s playing well together right now. The challenge for us is the d-line and the defense to get after them.”

Jones has one sack so far this season as the defense continues to stifle opposing offenses through four weeks. The Jaguars’ offensive line has allowed only three sacks to start the season while ranking fourth in the league in rushing.
Last season, Jones got off to a slow start but earned his third consecutive first-team All-Pro selection and sixth straight Pro Bowl invitation. He finished the 2024 regular season with five sacks and 37 tackles in 15 games.
