New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has had a tremendous start to the 2025 season, and he ranks in the top-10 in several categories across the NFL.
The North Carolina product ranks first in completion percentage at 74 percent. He ranks fifth in passer rating at 109.4 and sixth in passing yards with 988 yards. He is also managing to get the ball down the field at a high level, as he ranks sixth in yards per attempt (8.03). His 91 completions also rank sixth in the NFL.

All told, the quarterback has 988 passing yards, seven touchdowns and two interceptions on the year. He’s been able to avoid the sophomore slump to this point and has the Patriots sitting in a good position ahead of their primetime game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
Maye’s development in his second year in the NFL has been promising. The coaching of offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels has undoubtedly been a major part of it, and it will be exciting to see what those two can accomplish with the rest of the schedule still to come.
