Former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez was stabbed while in Indianapolis. He is at a hospital in stable condition, according the ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Sanchez is in Indianapolis to call the Colts vs. Raiders Week 5 matchup.

FOX Sports released a statement following the news.
“Mark Sanchez was injured in Indianapolis on Saturday and is currently recovering in the hospital in stable condition. We are deeply grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, and we ask that everyone please respect his and his family’s privacy during this time.”
The Indianapolis Metropolitan police have released a statement about the incident as well.
Sanchez will no longer be calling the Colts vs. Raiders game.
Before beginning his broadcasting career, Sanchez played eight NFL seasons. He was the fifth overall pick by the New York Jets out of USC in 2009.
