The New England Patriots‘ offensive line has gone from being considered a major weakness for the team to a potential strength.
Pro Football Focus currently ranks the unit fourth in the NFL in the pass blocking efficiency metric. They have allowed only two sacks, seven quarterback hits and 26 hurries in 153 snaps so far this season.

There have been several moving parts along the offensive front for the Patriots this year, including the team starting two rookies, Will Campbell and Jared Wilson, on the left side. The team also signed veterans Morgan Moses and Garrett Bradbury in free agency.
On the coaching side of things, the Patriots brought in an offensive line guru and former NFL head coach, Doug Marrone, to serve as the new offensive line coach.
The offensive line rebuild is much further along than expected, four weeks into the season.
It’s a strong start for a unit that ranked among the worst last season. The dramatic turnaround can be attributed to better coaching and finding the right personnel that fit the offense. For the first time in a long time, it seems like the Patriots are finally on the right track.
