Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels officially returns to action in Week 5 of the NFL season.

The former LSU star missed the last two games with a sprained left knee. He was a full participant in every practice this week and will enter the game with no physical restrictions or limits on play counts.

The Commanders take on the Los Angeles Chargers in SoFi Stadium on Sunday at 4:25 PM. They went 1-1 with backup Marcus Mariota leading the offense, defeating the Las Vegas Raiders 41-24 at home.

Daniels went down in the fourth quarter during Week 2 against the Green Bay Packers. He remained in the game initially, even throwing a touchdown pass to Deebo Samuel later in the frame.

Through two games in 2025, Daniels threw for 433 yards and three touchdowns. He also has 85 yards on the ground as he attempts to follow up his Rookie of the Year campaign from last year.
