There’s a chance the Los Angeles Rams will face backup quarterbacks in consecutive weeks, though their first go-around didn’t work in their favor on Thursday night.

Lamar Jackson is dealing with a hamstring injury and is out for Week 5, but there’s a chance he could be back for next week’s game between the Rams and Ravens. FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer shared an update on Sunday’s pregame show and said he’s been told there’s an “outside shot” he’ll play against Los Angeles.

“I was told there’s an outside shot for next week, so they don’t want to shut it down yet,” Glazer said. “But the bye is coming after that, obviously. If they decide to (hold) him out next week, then they get three weeks of rest for him, but they’re not saying he’s out yet for next week.”

The Ravens could opt to hold Jackson out with the bye coming in Week 7, giving him three weeks to rest and recover before returning to the field. If Jackson is sidelined again next Sunday, the Rams will face Cooper Rush.

The Rams lost to Mac Jones and the 49ers in Week 5 when Brock Purdy (and just about every other top player for San Francisco) was out, but hopefully they have better luck against another injury-ravaged Ravens team in Week 6.
