The Jets looked unprepared and were overmatched Sunday, as Aaron Glenn’s team continues to play befuddling football.

The Cowboys embarrassed the Jets, 37-22, at MetLife Stadium. Adding to the insult of this game, loud chants of “Let’s Go Cowboys” filled MetLife in the fourth quarter.

The Jets dropped to 0-5, making Glenn the first Jets coach to lose his first five games. They have lost some ugly games already, but this one was the most perplexing.

The Cowboys were last in total defense coming into this game and had allowed the fifth-most points (28.5). The Jets didn’t score a touchdown until there was 7:56 left in the game. They were down 30-6 at the time.

Dallas had just four sacks all season; Justin Fields was sacked five times.

The Jets also perpetuated their ongoing issues with ball security — they fumbled once — takeaways — they’re the only team without one— and penalties. The Jets had 10 penalties accepted for 61 yards.

Fields completed 32 of 46 passes for 283 yards and two touchdowns. Breece Hall rushed for 113 yards on 14 carries. He also caught four passes for 42 yards. Hall had a costly fumble at the Cowboys’ 13 in the first half when the score was 10-3 Dallas.

Rookie Mason Taylor had nine receptions for 67 yards. Garrett Wilson had six grabs for 71 yards and a touchdown.

Dak Prescott was 18-for-29 for 237 yards and four touchdowns. Javonte Williams rushed 16 times for 135 yards and a touchdown. He racked up 66 yards on one play. Williams also caught a touchdown.

Jake Ferguson caught seven passes for 49 yards and two touchdowns. Unheralded receiver Ryan Flournoy had six catches for 114 yards.

This is the fourth time in franchise history the Jets have started the season 0-5.
