Falcons vs. Commanders picks against the spread

Jon Hoefling: Atlanta Falcons (+2.5)

While Marcus Mariota proved he wasn’t a slouch in Week 3 against Vegas, I won’t expect lightning to strike twice if Daniels can’t play. Second, Atlanta just had a very rough game against Carolina and should be looking to avenge themselves after that miserable performance.

Blake Schuster: Washington Commanders (-2.5)

Atlanta fired it’s wide receivers coach this week. Forgive me if I don’t believe that will solve all its issues.

Tyler Dragon: Washington Commanders (-2.5)

I hope the Falcons had a team meeting after last week’s embarrassing loss. The Commanders are simply the better team, especially if Jayden Daniels is healthy.

Richard Morin: Atlanta Falcons (+2.5)

The Falcons will bounce back after a listless performance in Week 3.

Christopher Bumbaca: Atlanta Falcons (+2.5)

This is my zag game of the week. Can Marcus Mariota and the Commanders’ offense without Jayden Daniels (assuming he doesn’t play for a second straight week) survive against a decent Falcons’ pass rush? If Daniels does play, well, how healthy is he?

Lorenzo Reyes: Washington Commanders (-2.5)

It’s tough to know what to make of the Falcons, but last week’s loss was a massive concern. Dann Quinn is an excellent defensive-minded coach and he should have a plan to fluster Michael Penix Jr. But the reason why I love the Commanders in this spot is because of the work offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury has done, even with Marcus Mariota under center.
